1.discuss讨论
discuss和物动词(transitiveverb)，about或其他介系词不能添加到后面。
另一种帮助记忆的方法是：
discuss=talkabout
假设我说Wediscusedaboutheproblemme.
等于Wetalkedaboutabouttheproblem.
应该能清楚地知道错在哪里吧？因此，正确的用法是：

但是你可能会想，为什么about看起来这么熟悉？
是的，discuss作为名词时，后面要接about。

也许你看过一句令人困惑的句子：

原来这里的about是用来修改后面的threproblems说大概有三个问题，和前面的discuss无关。别搞混了！
2.感谢appreciate
appreciate是和物动词，for或其他介词不能添加到后面。

另外，我们来比较一下这两句话:
Iappreciateyoursupport.Iappreciateyouforyoursupport.
第一句话是强调你感谢他所做的「事」，第二句的用法主要是强调这一点「人」。
第二句错了吗？不，但在工作场所的沟通中，我们会尽量避免过于针对个人，所以用第一句来表达是合适的，但我们经常在其他非正式场合看到第二句的用法！
3.缺少lack
lack是物动词，of或其他介系词不能添加到后面。
但是我怎么觉得lackof这个用法很熟悉呢？那是因为lack是名词的时候，后面要加of。
Hehasgreatbasketballskills,butalwayslacksconfidenceonthecourt.他篮球技术高超，但在球场上总是缺乏自信。Hehasgreatbasketballskills,butthelackofconfidencealwaysmakeshimlosethegame.他篮球技术高超，但缺乏自信导致他总是输掉比赛。
4.emphasize强调
emphasize后面不能加on或其它介词。但是如果是名词，就要接on。
Iwanttoemphasizemysenseofaestheticsbymakingmyresumepretty.Iwanttoputemphasisonmysenseofaestheticsbymakingmyresumepretty.我想把简历做得很漂亮，强调我的美感。
5.mention提到
不管mention是什么词性，后面都不能加about或其它介系词哦！

6.考虑/把consider视为…
一般来说，consider直接加名词就好，后面加东西有两种常见的用法:consideratobeb和consideratobebconsider Ving。

7.到达reach
如果要表示到达，可以直接在reach后面加名词，但是要注意，如果使用arrive，就要加at，两者不要搞混！

8.contact联系
contact是和物动词，with或其他介系词不能添加到后面。with除非作为名词，否则需要添加。
